Why I Hate it in the First Place

The Big Picture

1. The company sold t-shirts displaying stereo typical images of Asians and racial slurs. Several ethnic groups have been offended.  While this is by NO means an issue at large, they also sold t-shirts with slogans directed at certain United States. "It's All Relative in West Virginia" and "New Hampshire- 40 million squirrels can't be wrong".

Additionally, they've discriminated against employees for their religeon. Pleas see: You Don't Look Like A Girl From Abercrombie-Fitch: A TALE OF Discrimination.

2. Their catalogs display pornographic images. "Sex sells". It's an inevitable part of marketing to "mature" consumers. However, as Abercrombie begins to appeal to pre-teens, changes must occur.

3. Their advertisements portray nudity, group sex, and underage drinking.

4. They discriminate against heavy built, overweight, and in some cases, busty, women. This may encourage eating disorders. Not to mention, it cuts their profits.

Abercrombie May Not Be the Only Store Involved, Yet I Condemn...

5. Manufacturing products using child labor.

6. Selling suggestive shirts marketed towards children.

7. Selling thongs and other revealing articles of clothing marketed and sized for children. Click here&for the 'No Kid Thong Petition.'

My Petty and Personal Reasons

8. They sold a t-shirt that read, 'Say No to Pugs.' Read further here.

9. Am I the only one who finds it a bit creepy they name their skirts things like Julie, Anna, and 'Kate?'

10. Music blasts from that store so loud your ears throb before you even come in.

11. Items are over priced.

12. The store reeks of over done perfume.

13. "Have you heard how well our jeans fit?" seems an inaccurate statement.

14. They model swim wear in winter. Are you people insane?!

15. You need to be a sex icon to get a job there.

16. Their shirts shrink horribly in the wash.

17. If you really look, the store doesn't have much variety. Its mostly the same lacy camis, jeans, polos, and attitude shirts you could find anywhere. Hold the moose.
